Interseeding Cover Crops

Dan Jacque has been a participant of the Clean Farm Families for a number of years. He has seen tremendous value to his herd health and milk production from the use of multispecies cover crops interseeded into his corn silage.

Brian follows his winter wheat fields in Spring with a 6-way cover crop species mix. Each species provides a distinct resource to the field but overall contribute to improved soil health and water quality.
